Come and celebrate one of the tastiest barbecue festivals in the country at the annual Nugget Rib Cook Off in Sparks, NV. Each Labor Day, Victorian Avenue in Sparks closes to traffic as hundreds of thousands of barbecue buffs mow down 125+ tons of ribs and rock out to big-name bands (for free!) at one of the largest grilling competitions in the nation.
Drawing top grillmasters, barbecue competitors, and rib teams from all across the nation (and even as far as Australia), this event serves up every kind of rib and barbecue style under the sun, as well as plenty of sizzling sides and vegetarian options for anyone who doesn’t show up with meat-mania.
With thousands of pounds of ribs prepared by competitive BBQ-ers from all corners of the US, get in on the country’s best national rib cook-off and beer fest at the Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook Off.
Pore over the beer garden in Victorian Square, loaded with dozens of local and national craft beers paired specifically for various barbecue flavors. For shoppers, there’s the Crafter’s Crossing area with hundreds of booths featuring artisan arts and crafts, while the Kids’ Zone offers an abundance of fun activities for the kids under 12 in your family!
